What you will do?
In the main role as Technical Service Representative you will be responsible to provide a sound technical service to our customers and projects in Finland regarding quality and application of paint. You will act as the technical counterpart to the sales organization in Finland to support with clarifications on technical requirements, our products, and their end use. As a minor role, aligned with sale, you will also be encouraged to visit new potential customers. The customer base includes OEM manufacturers, dealers and 3’rd party coaters.

In addition, your main tasks will be to:

  • Advise on paint specification, provide recommendations for preparation and application.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure paint is applied in acceptable conditions and according to specification.
  • Provide training on selection and use of our products as well as on general knowledge on coating application.
  • Solve technical issues, trouble shooting and complaint investigations
  • Cooperate with the regional sales in keeping and improving the customer relationship and visit new potential customers, to seek out new business opportunities.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of paint and collection of returns at completion of the contract in cooperation with the customer order desk.

This is a full-time and permanent employment in Finland, and you will be one part of a wonderful and committed team of technicians and sale, customer order desk and colleagues from central functions. You will be offered home office but of course welcome to our office in Vantaa. You will report to Technical Services Manager EMEA North.

Who you are?
To succeed as Technical Service representative, you need to have a strong technical knowledge combined with understanding industrial business processes. You should have at least 3 years’ experience in technical services, or in a coatings supervisory / QC environment related to industrial wood coatings.
As a person are you structured in your way of working and understand the importance of planning your activities, as well as reporting the outcome of them. Goal oriented, relationship building and customer focused are words that describes you. You speak and write fluent in Finish and are fluent in writing and speaking in English and should be comfortable in speaking and presenting in front of people. You have basic skills in MS Office and perhaps in SAP. Driver’s license is a must, as the typical workplace in Finland are at various locations, and some travel inland and abroad may be required.
