Senior Technology Specialist, Fixed Access Networks (Helsinki)

We are now looking for a Senior Technology Specialist to join our Technology & Automation team.

Our team is a part of Elisa’s Production Network Services unit and Fixed Access department. We are looking to expand our team’s expertise within fixed access network technologies and thus looking for a new Senior Technology Specialist!

In addition to the team, the most important partners are equipment manufacturers and several internal stakeholders in Elisa.

In this position, you will focus primarily on working with the Fixed access SDN, ethernet and xDSL (inc. g.fast) technologies, but your work can include some other fixed access technologies as well.

Your main tasks:

• Management of fixed access network technologies throughout their life cycle: Vendor management, perform testing, and defining parameters and creating instructions.
• Development of fixed network technologies
• Creating practical technology development plan and targets for the future
• Active participation in the work of Elisa’s various technology groups and co-operation with different business units.

This position is located at Helsinki in our HQ in Pasila.

What we expect from you?

• Solid experience of fixed network technologies, management systems and their testing
• Good networking skills and you may have existing networks with fixed network suppliers
• Theoretical understanding of new fixed network technologies
• You have a self-initiated “Can do” attitude 
• Ability to effectively communicate with technical and business colleagues and make complex things understandable
• Fluent proficiency in English (written and spoken). We also appreciate if you can communicate in Finnish.
