Hanken Venture Studio Internships

 

Hanken Venture Studio invites applications for two INTERNSHIP positions starting during September 2022 to 31 May 2023 

Hanken Venture Studio is a think tank and accelerator aiming to help individuals turn their ideas into start-ups, scale-ups, non-profit organisations and for individuals to achieve significant growth. 

We offer a stimulating work environment with a professional and social mix of students and alumni, Hanken faculty and staff, and other collaboration partners. The Venture Studio is a newly renovated space neighboring the Hanken Business Lab and we are inviting you to be a part of the next chapter of entrepreneurship at Hanken. The internship involves participation in the running of the day-to-day operations and digital communication of the Venture Studio activities in Helsinki.

The work includes, but is not limited to, the following main tasks:

• Coordinating Hanken Venture Studio activities and programs together with and under the guidance of the Venture Studio Community Manager and Lead.
• Updating the Hanken Venture Studio website and social media
• Sharing news from the community and from entrepreneurial events through social media
• Together with and under the guidance of the Community Manager and Venture Studio Lead assisting in developing partner programmes for the benefit of the companies, students and alumni
• Contributing to a good and functional working environment for everyone working in the premises 
• The two interns will have a own focus area, but will contribute to all tasks as a team
• You will have an opportunity to be a part of molding the next chapter of venture creation at Hanken, right from the start
• You are also warmly welcome to participate in the Hanken Business Lab and Venture Studio open events

We are looking for a BSc-level or an MSc-level student in business or economics who is well-organised with excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must have a flexible approach to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Competency in standard software and social media is essential. The successful candidate is proficient in spoken and written English.

In the selection, priority is given to students majoring in Entrepreneurship, Management and Organisation, Management and Organisation, Finance and Marketing.

Hanken students majoring in Entrepreneurship, Management and Organisation, or Management and Organisation, can attain credits for the internship provided that the required report is submitted and accepted (for more information contact the major’s examiner). Other students need to contact their own department to ensure that the internship meets the set criteria and can be included in the degree.

The position is 15 hours/week with flexible office hours to be jointly decided upon. The salary is 920 €/month. The trial period is two months.
