looking for your next challenge in your career? Do you have background within the BFSI industry? Then look no further.  We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Architect to join our family. Working closely within our Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCOE) you will be part of our ongoing progressive modernization and digitization of the banking backbone of Finland.  

To be successful in the role, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate internationally with the Samlink family.  You will have experience of migrating and modernizing applications from legacy environments to Cloud, have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to break complex problems into a set of meaningful actions.

Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and architect cloud solutions on the Azure platform that meet business requirements while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
2. Architecture Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive cloud architecture plans, including infrastructure, networking, security, and application components, and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
3. Security and Compliance: Establish and enforce security measures, compliance standards, and identity management protocols to protect data and applications in the Azure environment.
4. High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss in case of failures or disasters.
5. Technical Insight: Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful adoption of Azure services.
6. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and guidelines to assist teams in effectively utilizing Azure services. Offer training and mentorship to team members and continuously stay current with your Cloud skills and knowledge.
7. Business Development: Support business development activities with new client and new solution prospects including solutioning, business case development and client presentations.

Desired Qualifications & skills:

• Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Architect or similar role, with a minimum of 5-8 years in cloud architecture and design.
• Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Kubernetes Service, Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, and more.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager templates.

• Expertise in IP addressing, subnetting, routing, and protocols.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and containerization (e.g., Docker).
• Strong understanding of network concepts, security best practices, and identity and access management (IAM) in Azure.
• Understanding of Application development using Java, Maven, yaml, containers for Devops,  
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English skills.
