We are looking for an Accounts & Finance Manager to grow our Finance team in India. In this all-round role you will bring your experience from financial accounting and compliances in India but have a close connection to our headquarters in Finland. You’ve been growing your versatile knowledge working in different companies – preferably also in an international work setting. As a generalist you enjoy the variety and having different workdays not forgetting routine tasks. In addition to managing a small team you are ready to roll your sleeves and get things done yourself with a positive and proactive attitude and showing a good example. Also cooperating and communicating internally and externally is a natural part of the work – we believe in succeeding together and it is something you enjoy too. In short, your key responsibilities are: 

  • Daily finance tasks such as managing governmental payments and approval of utility bills. 

  • Statutory accounting as well as monthly & yearly closing.  

  • Preparation of financial statements (including payroll) and statutory compliances. 

  • Managing our Accounts & Finance department with one team member. 

We expect you to have: 

  • 10+ years of relevant working experience. 

  • A degree in commerce (e.g., B.Com / PGD / Inter CA / MBA or M.com). 

  • Solid knowledge of Indian accounting standards & compliances. 

  • Fluency in English and Hindi – both verbal and written. 

  • Good social & communication skills. 

We are especially glad if you have: 

  • Been working in an international context and / or software business. 

  • Already knowledge and user experience of NetSuite or other globally recognized ERP systems. 

  • Earlier experience in leading a small team. 

  • Fluency in Marathi.

You have good communication skills, and you like to co-operate both internally and externally. Accuracy and quality of your work is important to you. Your working style is proactive, systematic and independent. However, if you face challenges, you are not able to solve yourself you will seek support. Sometimes tight schedules or needing to reprioritize are not a problem for you, you manage your time well and react quickly for changes if needed. You find it motivating to develop and improve your skills and take new responsibilities as well as help your team members to grow and succeed. As a leader you have a supportive and coaching approach, and you lead by example. 

As part of our Finance team in India you will collaborate closely with your colleagues locally and globally supporting and contributing to our ambitious growth plans. This position is located in Thane, Maharashtra. In this all-round role you will report both locally in India and globally to Finland.
