IT Manager, Master Data

We’re now looking for an experienced IT Manager, Master Data 

As part of our Information Management team in IT & Process function, you will have an important role leading creation and maintenance of high-quality master data throughout the data lifecycle. You will be also responsible for developing and operating master data management IT services to support our current and future business – strong focus on building common capabilities to support Nokian Tyres operations in all countries globally. 

You will be supported by other IT teams when technical changes are needed in master data or other relevant systems. You will have a tight connection to the business data owners and your will lead a compact but experienced and competent Master data teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Team leader for both Master Data Management and Master Data Operations teams by providing direction, inspiring and coaching 
  • Manage MDM IT services and costs throughout lifecycle (plan, create, deploy, use, and retire)
  • Lead MDM IT development and operations, ensuring the deliverables are fit-for-purpose against requirements and the overall IT Service lifecycle costs are in-line the agreed business cases
  • Manage and align the project portfolio with business objectives, and maintain MDM IT roadmap aligned with business and IT strategies
  • Design and development of MDM IT services, and continuous development of NT internal development processes and ways of working
  • Ensure that defined Master data domains are created and maintained following agreed SLAs, global processes & guidelines and ensures master data domains meets global and local business requirements and processes. 
  • Deployment of harmonized solutions globally on own responsibility area 
  • Technical project management and vendor management on your own responsibility area
  • Benchmarking and following the industry and technology trends and keeping MDM IT capabilities up to date by networking with industry peers and establishing working relationships with strategic vendors

What do we expect from you?

  • B. Sc. or M.Sc. degree or equivalent experience required
  • Experience working with master data processes (>5 years) and End-to-End understanding about the impacts of processes and data 
  • Knowledge of specific applications and relevant tools (MS SQL, MS BI, Oracle EBS ERP, ETL technologies, Azure data platforms, Microsoft Master Data services (MDS), Azure DevOps, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Jira) 
  • Broad knowledge of IT development and operations related methodologies, familiarity with IT industry standards and methodologies such as ITIL and Agile
  • Ability to manage IT services for cross-functional processes
  • Experience of leading a global/regional team in virtual and multicultural environment
  • Ability to drive change and development through the organization with strong people skills
  • Proven contract negotiation and vendor management skills 
  • Good collaboration, communication, and presentation skills in English

When working at the office, your closest team will be located in Nokia or Helsinki, Finland. That doesn’t mean that we expect you to be there on daily basis, since we are promoting flexible and modern working culture, where working from home or another preferred place is just as fine.
