Wärtsilä leads the transition towards a 100% renewable energy future. We help our customers in decarbonisation by developing technologies for futurefuel enabled balancing power plants, hybrid solutions, energy storage and optimisation.

As part of our Site team, you will be executing state of the art power plant projects running on world record engines, and energy storage systems supporting the journey towards decarbonisation. Are you ready to join the ride to ensure smooth execution of our projects at sites around the world?

A typical engine power plant (EPP) site construction starts with a Site Manager setting the base for the project together with Project Management team at their home office before moving to the site.

Together with the Site Manager, a team consisting of Civil Section Manager, Site Engineer and Environmental Health & Safety Manager joins next to get the civil works going for the power house and other necessary buildings. After the foundations are ready, a team of Mechanical Section Manager and Supervisors will join to follow the arrival of engines and other materials, and to supervise the installation together with subcontractors.

The electrical team alongside the Section Manager and Supervisors will join to partner with the mechanical team to supervise the installation of electrical supply. Simultaneously, a Commissioning Manager has started the planning at their home office together with the project management team. The Commissioning Manager plays a key role in bringing the power plant live together with their commissioning team consisting of Mechanical and Electrical Commissioning Engineers, Engine- and Plant Automation Engineers.

A successful execution of a power plant project requires a strong team of professionals in their own fields. At Wärtsilä, we are true experts in this type of projects and we’re continuously developing our ways of working to support our customers in the best possible way. Does this sound like something for you?

As part of our Site team, you will gain experiences both from cultural and technical aspects in an environment where you can develop your professional skills within your own area of expertise, in a work community with great team spirit and close connection to customers.
