Head of IT Management, International Digital Services (Helsinki, Petershausen or other)

Elisa’s International Digital Services unit hosts new, globally growing business teams in areas such as Elisa IndustrIQ and Elisa Polystar. These domains are functioning as individual startups within Elisa, and they are swiftly growing. 

We are looking for a Head of IT Management for an Elisa’s International Digital Services (IDS) – an internationally minded and experienced IT Management senior professional to develop and promote Elisa IT solutions and services globally. This is an interesting position for someone who wants to make difference and build a new international IT environment and organization to support rapidly growing International Digital Services Business. 

In this key position, you and your growing international team will be part of Elisa IT and you will be reporting to Elisa CIO. However, in matrix you will be working in close co-operation with Elisa IDS Unit and reporting to IDS management. Your closest colleagues will be IT specialists in different Elisa IDS companies around the world. 

This position can be located at Helsinki or any Elisa’s office in Central Europe (for example Petershausen, Berlin, Frankfurt, Aachen, Brussels), but like the rest of the elisians, you can work flexibly wherever you get the best results. 

Your main responsibilities are 

• Build and manage Elisa’s International Digital Services IT  
• Understand IDS Business requirements and develop IDS IT Services Portfolio to meet requirements 
• Lead IDS IT Architecture development towards a common Elisa IT Vision in co-operation with Elisa corporate IT architects and other stakeholders

We expect you to have 

• Over 10 years of experience in IT management, methods, tools and successful IT service development 
• Good understanding of major Corporate core IT domains and needs; for example Office IT, Access and Identity Management, Enterprise information & collaboration etc.    
• Good understanding of major corporate Business domains and needs; for example HR, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Delivery 
• Good understanding of modern, agile software development and off the shelf commercial applications 
• Good understanding of modern cloud-based models and techs to build IT Services, for example XaaS and cloud-native techs, SASE/ ZTNA service access

What contributes to success in this position? 

• Proven skills and inspiration to act as coach and further develop service development in international environment 
• Capability of producing visually good quality documents with clear messaging 
• Ability to understand and react to business requirements and tight deadlines, all the while working in a systematic way 
• Solid communication skills in English language (both written and oral) 
• University degree, e.g. in engineering or computer science 
• Willingness to travel
